Most fragrances on shelves today aren't built to last.

Walk into any department store. Pick up the most-hyped designer bottle. Flip it over. Almost always, you'll see three letters: EDP.

Eau de Parfum. 15–20% fragrance oil. The rest is alcohol and water.

It's why your scent fades by mid-afternoon. Not because you over-applied. Not because your skin "ate it." Because the formulation was never built to go the distance.

The grade that actually lasts has a different name.

Extrait de Parfum.

25% or more pure fragrance oil. The highest concentration you can wear.

It's what Roja Parfums uses. What Maison Francis Kurkdjian's Extrait line is built on. What Tom Ford Private Blend is formulated at.

It's also why those bottles start at $400 β€” and climb past $1,200.

Every XTRAIT scent is formulated at 25%+ Extrait grade. Same concentration. Different price.

What 25%+ actually feels like

Deeper dry-down. Higher concentration lets base notes β€” oud, amber, sandalwood, musk β€” develop fully. EDPs often lose their bottom half within hours. Extrait holds.

Stronger projection. More fragrance oil per spray means the scent radiates further from your skin in the first hour.

Long-wear performance. XTRAIT is built to outlast the EDP next to it on your shelf.

Less product, more scent. One spray of Extrait projects like three sprays of EDT. Your bottle lasts longer. Your wallet feels it.

Why most brands don't

So why doesn't every brand make Extrait? Two reasons.

1. It's expensive. Pure fragrance oil is the single most expensive ingredient in any perfume. Going from 18% to 25%+ adds significantly to per-bottle cost. Most brands pocket the savings of a thinner formulation.

2. It protects designer margins. Designer houses make more money selling cheaper EDPs at premium prices. The Extrait tier exists β€” but it's gated behind $400+ price tags so the EDP 'still looks affordable.'

We refused to play the game. We formulate every XTRAIT scent at Extrait grade β€” and price it at $45. That's not a discount. That's the actual price of fragrance, before boutique markups.

Built to a single formulation standard.

Every XTRAIT scent is formulated to:

βœ… Concentration β€” 25%+ pure fragrance oil
βœ… IFRA compliance β€” Amendment 51, Category 4
βœ… Long-wear formula β€” built to outlast the EDP next to it on your shelf
βœ… Allergen disclosure β€” listed on every bottle and PDP
